On March 9, our college held a seminar on the construction of national university physics course group virtual teaching and research room in the conference room 402 of the physical and electrical building. Feng Jun, the supervisor of Academic Affairs Office, and the main responsible persons of University Physics Teaching Department, Microelectronics Department, Physics Department and Experimental Center attended the seminar. The meeting was chaired by Executive Vice President Chen Yuanping.

First of all, Chen Yuanping put forward three requirements for the construction of the virtual teaching and research room, one is to be practical, the construction of virtual teaching and research room should be institutionalized, standardized and effective. It should focus on the concept of undergraduate teaching, clear objectives, accurate positioning, research on what and how to teach teachers, what and how to learn students, how to collaborate with teachers and students, and cooperate with the basic curriculum improvement plan, research and practice, and put into practice the support role of university physics courses in undergraduate talent training. Second, to do well, the virtual teaching and research room of university physics course group is not only a pilot, but also a demonstration, a demonstration of our university and similar institutions outside the university teaching and research room, to take advantage of the platform, build a good team, good resources, good model, to provide a quality model for the construction of grassroots teaching organizations in the new era. Thirdly, to be new, the virtual teaching and research room should follow the requirements of the times, clarify the goals, open up ideas, innovate institutional mechanisms, achieve planned implementation and step-by-step promotion, and strive to produce a number of new results.

At the meeting, the main persons in charge of the four departments had an extensive discussion on exploring the construction path and operation mechanism of the virtual teaching and research room in order to build and share high-quality resources together, and a certain construction plan was initially formed. Finally, Chen Yuanping emphasized that the college should take the construction of virtual teaching and research room as an opportunity to base on Jiangsu, radiate the Yangtze River Delta, realize the innovation of two-line teaching and research mode of cross-domain, cross-border and real-time interaction, and further promote the common improvement of education and teaching level of our college.
